HaemoniaはHaemoniniのタイプ属。
Haemoniaのタイプ種はM.muticaと言う報告もあるが、M. appendiculata（Donacia equiseti Fabricius, 1798 ）だよという指摘。ええ、原記載にも書いてありますけど（Chen, 1941）。
