Hashimoto, K. and M. Sakai (2011) A new species of the genus Mecynotarsus (Coleoptera, Anthicidae, Notoxinae) from Japan. Jpn. J. Syst. Ent., 17(2): 415-420.／ツノボソチビイッカクMecynotarsus niponicus Lewis, 1895は黒い種で，褐色なのはニセツノボソチビイッカクM. antennalis Hashimoto et Sakai, 2011として記載されていた．海浜で採っていたのは後者だった．気づいて良かった．
